How WHIP is calculated

WHIP stands for walks plus hits per inning pitched. It divides hits and walks by innings pitched, so lower values mean fewer baserunners allowed per inning.

Usage notes

  • Enter innings, hits, and walks for each outing.
  • Compare current WHIP with the target WHIP.
  • Add a next-outing estimate to see allowed baserunners and projected WHIP.
