How the checker works

The checker separates receipt rows into items, discounts, tax, fees, payments, and refunds. It adds item, fee, and tax rows, subtracts discount and refund rows, then compares that calculated total with the expected receipt total.

Usage notes

Calculated total = items + fees + tax - discounts - refunds.
Difference = expected receipt total - calculated total.
Payment rows are not added to the receipt total; they are used as a separate cross-check.
