Logistics planning notice

This tool is a planning aid only. Actual freight charges, customs treatment, chargeable weight, carrier rules, warehouse limits, and contractual terms must be confirmed with the carrier, forwarder, warehouse, or official shipping documents.

How box quantity is calculated

The calculator adds reserve stock to the order quantity, divides by units per box, and rounds up to the required carton count. It also shows the final partial box, spare capacity, pallet count, inner packs, and shipment weight.

Usage notes

  • Units with reserve = order units x (1 + reserve rate)
  • Boxes needed = ceiling(units with reserve / units per box)
  • Pallets needed = ceiling(boxes needed / boxes per pallet)
  • Gross weight = unit weight x units with reserve + empty box weight x box count

Frequently asked questions

When should I use reserve stock?expand_more

Use reserve stock for damage allowance, inspection loss, samples, or promotional extras that require packing more than the exact order quantity.

What happens when units divide evenly?expand_more

The final box is treated as a full box and the partial-box count becomes zero.

Why include inner packs?expand_more

If products are bundled before boxing, inner pack counts help prepare the picking and packing instruction more accurately.
